Various tools exist to make web pages - however, there are fewer tools that allow for the creation of accessible web pages (unless you learn HTML!).
Macromedia's Dreamweaver MX/MX 2004 provides assistance for the creation of accessible web page content. Turn on the "Accessibility Preferences" in Dreamweaver MX/MX 2004 by:
This will assist you as a web author by providing options to enter in the necessary information to make the web page more accessible.
Unfortunately, there are no "accessibility preferences" that you can enable to make the creation of web pages easier. There are several tools (discussed in the next section) that will assist with reviewing a web page and integrate with FrontPage.
Microsoft Word and PowerPoint both provide the option to "Save as Web Page". While these tools make it very easy on the author to create information, when converted to a web page, both applications insert additional "code" that can negatively affect the usability (and accessibility) of the web page.
