Why Must We Live Caption?

• Distance Education courses must be designed in such a way that the level of communication and course taking experience is the same for students with or without disabilities.

• According to the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR), responding to an ad-hoc accommodation request by an individual student with a disability is not enough to satisfy compliance requirements for distance education courses.
